Director of Programming & Development

Position Information

Position Title: Director of Programming and Development
This position reports to: Nichole Like, CEO

Responsibilities

1. Program Development and Management:
• Plan, develop, and implement programs that align with The Pantheon's mission and strategic plan and meet operational plan.
• Ensure programs meet quality standards, are member-centered, and effectively address business communities’ needs.
• Regularly evaluate program effectiveness through data collection, community surveys, and internal reviews.
• Coordinate and delegate programming logistics, including scheduling, event set up and teardown, and event purchases.
• Coordinate the development of marketing materials and promotion of programming events.

2. Fundraising and Resource Management:
• Develop and manage program budgets in collaboration with the leadership team.
• In collaboration with the CEO, develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan aligned with the organization's goals and priorities.
• Identify and pursue diverse funding sources, including individual donors, foundations, corporations, and government grants.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing donors, ensuring effective communication and stewardship.
• Cultivate new donor relationships through outreach, networking, and relationship-building activities.
• Work with the CEO to oversee grant applications and reporting processes, ensuring timely submission and compliance.
• Plan and execute fundraising events to generate financial support and engage the community.

3. Membership and Business Resource Growth:
• Build and maintain a vibrant and collaborative coworking community.
• Work with the leadership team to develop and implement a strategy for growing and developing coworking memberships.
• Develop, implement, and promote member benefit programs and amenities. (example: discount and referral programs)
• Support and promote Entrepreneurship-In-Residence and Indiana Small Business Development Center advisors and related activities.

4. Community and Partnership Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and funders.
• Represent The Pantheon at community events and meetings.
• Seek opportunities to share the organization’s mission and programs within the community.

Requirements
Minimum Required Education: A bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in project management and/or program development is required.

Minimum Years of Experience: 1-3 years of program development experience. Work experience may substitute for an educational degree.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Presentation and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred.
• Ability to use good judgment and diplomacy, maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion on various operational matters.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Must be a motivated, adaptable team player who can exercise initiative and work well with others.
• Professional aptitude and business acumen.
• Ability to work through ambiguity.
